Africa Global Chamber of Commerce (AGCC) is planning to expand its role in promoting the Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement between the State of Illinois and Africa by establishing the African Trade Center (ATC). The chamber intends to partner with African Union, the State of Illinois, the City of Chicago, and Cook County administration to acquire/construct a facility and implement trade programs.
The African Trade Center will provide offices for African Government Trade specialists, African entrepreneurs, Chicago and Midwest trade specialists. The staff of the Africa Global Chamber of Commerce will provide logistical support, office space, travel assistance, and networking opportunities for American companies in selling their products and services in Africa. The AGCC will coordinate with the City of Chicago, Cook County, the State of Illinois, the U.S. Dept of Commerce, USAID, OPIC, US International Trade, EX-IM Bank, and other local, state, and federal government agencies that impact and influence global trade.
